I just got home from seeing Titanic in theaters for the first time in 14 years.

It may sound silly, but I was emotional from the opening credits. It’s a film that’s deeply-rooted with important things in my life: it is the first movie I ever remember seeing & it’s also what inspired me to be an actress. I know it word for word, and I could recognize the score anywhere within seconds. Experiencing my favorite movie on the big screen served only to renew my love for it.

I was surprised how much the 3D element did to enhance watching the movie; it made the complete second half of the film with the sinking of the ship literally terrifying, especially when the camera would look over an edge, you felt like you were really there. And of course, I cried for the last like 40 minutes. But that’s nothing new, as my friends would tell you.

To anyone who hasn’t seen Titanic yet in theaters, go do it before it’s too late. It’s money well spent.
